A case study of a customized 8oz double-wall paper cup production line for a Belarusian client.

A Belarusian client operates a paper products factory, primarily supplying disposable paper cups to local coffee brands and takeout beverage vendors. With market demand continuing to grow, the client sought to increase production efficiency, reduce labor costs, and create a more competitive product line by adding additional production lines.

The customer wanted to reduce labor costs. To further minimize manual intervention and improve automation, we equipped both machines with an extended paper feeder. This design allows for more paper fans to be loaded at once, effectively reducing the need for frequent refills and significantly improving production efficiency.

1. Core Equipment Configuration

MYC-OCM12 High-Speed Paper Cup Forming Machine
Used to produce 8oz inner paper cups, using a single-layer PE-coated paper (210gsm + 15gsm PE) for waterproof and impermeable packaging.

MYC-DW100 Double-wall Paper Cup Machine
Responsible for coating the outer sleeve of the cup to achieve thermal insulation.

2. Intelligent detail upgrade

The customer requested the production date be marked on the bottom of the cup for product traceability and management.

To address this need, we integrated an intelligent coding system into the MYC-OCM12 paper cup machine. This system automatically prints the code during the forming process, eliminating the need for additional manual steps.

3.Innovative Outer Cup Design: Angled Side Seal

Customers requested a customized outer cup sleeve design, resulting in a beveled side seal.

This design not only meets aesthetic requirements but also offers significant advantages during production:

• Reduced Paper Waste：By optimizing the paper splicing angles and die-cutting layout, each large sheet of paper is more efficiently utilized, reducing overall raw material loss.
• Reduced Production Costs：For high-volume double-wall paper cup production, every 1% to 2% reduction in paper material can translate into significant long-term cost savings.
• Improved Compatibility and Flexibility：The beveled outer sleeve design allows for better compatibility with inner cups of varying heights and tapers, allowing customers to easily switch between multiple paper cup sizes on the same production line.
