Client Background

This client from Kazakhstan is a local beverage packaging supplier who plans to enter the double-walled paper cup (hollow cup) market for hot beverage cups in two mainstream capacities: 12oz and 16oz.

Client Needs

After detailed communication, we identified the client's core needs as more than just "making double-walled cups," but rather:
Simultaneous production of both 12oz and 16oz sizes, with both cup types being long-term flagship products; 

A high target daily output, requiring high-speed production machines; 

Plans to add more cup types or expand production in the future, therefore requiring a production line with scalability; 

Rising local labor costs, necessitating reduced manual labor, especially in back-end packaging.
The client's goal is not simply to "test the waters," but to establish a sustainable mass production line from the outset.

Solution

1. Two MYC-180S Paper Cup Machines – Specifically Designed for Inner Cup Production

For customers requiring simultaneous production of 12oz and 16oz inner cups with high daily output, we recommend configuring two MYC-180S paper cup machines, one for different sizes or for parallel production of the same size.
The reasons for this configuration are clear:
Both 12oz and 16oz are medium to large cup sizes, requiring higher forming stability;
The customer wants to achieve a large output per shift, and the speed range of the 180S (160–210 pcs/min) better matches their production expectations;
Two paper cup machines can flexibly divide the work according to orders, rather than frequently changing molds.

2. Transfer Station + MYC-DW120 Cup Sleeve Machine – For Double-Layer Cup Structures

In our solution, we clearly explain to the client:
Double-layer cups ≠ can be completed by a single machine. Instead, it requires:
The paper cup machine first stably produces the inner cups.
The inner cups are buffered and transferred through the transfer station.
Then, the cup sleeve machine completes the outer sleeve forming and bonding.

Therefore, the entire solution includes:
Two transfer stations: used to balance the production rhythm of the paper cup machine and the cup sleeve machine.
Two MYC-DW120 cup sleeve machines: corresponding to 12oz and 16oz cup sleeve specifications respectively.

3. MY-800 Packaging Machine – As the Final Link in the Production Line

Considering the client's requirements for labor costs and finished product uniformity, we incorporated the MY-800 automatic packaging machine into the solution as the final link in the entire inline production line.

The final production flow is as follows:
Two MYC-180S machines
→ Two transfer stations
→ Two MYC-DW120 cup sleeve machines
→ MY-800 automatic packaging machine

This is a complete inline solution for double-layer cups, covering all stages from inner cup and outer sleeve to packaging.
