Columbia MYC-OCM12 Intelligent model coffee cup machine solution

Client Background

This client from Colombia runs a packaging products company, primarily providing disposable paper packaging for coffee brands and retail chains.
With growing demand for small-capacity coffee cups (6oz), the client planned to build an in-house production line to produce custom-printed 6oz coffee cups.

Client Needs and Challenges

During initial discussions, the client raised three key requirements:

1. Cup Size
They wanted to produce 6oz paper cups for use in supermarket coffee machines. The cups are smaller, but they plan to produce 9oz and 12oz cups in the future.
2. Cup Printing
Each batch of paper cups will feature a brand logo or design, and the client wanted printed coffee cups.
3. Speed
The client desired a production capacity of at least 80 cups per minute, with the machine capable of continuous operation for extended periods.

Mingyuan Machinery's Solution

After discussion, Mingyuan Machinery developed an OCM12 coffee cup making machine with a cup collection rack.

1. Equipment Selection
The OCM12 paper cup machine used by the customer is a high-speed model optimized for coffee cups.
It operates at a stable speed of 80–100 pcs/min and supports 24-hour continuous production, meeting the long-term order supply needs of supermarkets.

2. Paper Weight
The OCM12 supports paper ranging from 150–350gsm. Since the customer primarily produces 6oz coffee cups, we recommend using 190gsm single-layer PE-coated paper.

3. Mold Customization
Based on the 6oz sample cup size provided by the customer, Mingyuan Machinery customized a dedicated mold. If the customer wishes to produce other sizes of paper cups in the future, they only need to replace the mold with a 9oz or 12oz one, without having to modify the main machine structure.

4. Automatic Cup Collector
To reduce manual sorting time, the customer purchased an automatic cup collector.

The collector automatically stacks and counts the cups according to the set quantity.
