Customer Background

This customer from Dakar, Senegal, originally traded in disposable packaging products, importing paper cups and bowls from China and Turkey year-round.
In the past two years, local demand for small-capacity paper coffee cups has increased significantly, particularly in supermarket coffee corners, hotel self-service beverage areas, and for tastings at events.
Due to the long import cycle and significant price fluctuations, the customer began considering building their own paper cup production line.
He hoped this equipment would enable him to transition from an importer to a local manufacturer, focusing on small-scale, flexible supply.

Customer Needs

Product Requirements: Small-capacity paper coffee cups with logos and promotional designs, initially producing 4oz cups.
Production Expectations: Daily production capacity of 70,000–80,000 pieces to accommodate short-term promotions and holiday orders.
Staffing: The customer and one employee would be responsible for operation, and the equipment required to be easy to use and maintain.
Printing Integration: The customer wanted us to provide printed paper fans.

Solution

Based on the customer's production goals and paper cup sizes, we recommended a combination of the OCM100 paper coffee cup making machine and an automatic cup collection rack.

Production Capacity:
The OCM100 operates at a speed of 100–120 cups/minute, allowing a single machine to easily produce 80,000 coffee cups per day, meeting the customer's production expectations.
Paper Cup Size:
The customer wanted small-volume paper cups, and the OCM100 was capable of producing small to medium-sized cups ranging from 1.5 to 9 oz.
Paper Weight:
Based on the customer's requirement for 4 oz paper cups, we recommended 190 gsm PE-coated paper. The OCM100 can accommodate paper ranging from 140 to 350 gsm.
Design Printing:

The customer requested a design and provided a design. We then produced a sample based on the design and sent it to the customer for review.

Automatic Cup Collector:
Since the customer's factory initially had a limited workforce, the automatic cup collector significantly improved production line efficiency and reduced manual intervention.
