Client Background

This client from Lebanon plans to produce disposable coffee paper cups to meet the needs of his own shop and surrounding coffee stalls.

The client wants to produce 2.5oz coffee cups, primarily for espresso and tasting, but he is not very familiar with the paper cup structure, paper weight, and coating requirements.

In the initial communication, the client only provided a simple requirement:
"I need a machine to produce 2.5oz coffee cups."
After further communication, we learned that:
The paper cups are mainly used for espresso, with a small capacity but high temperature;
He wants a cup with high rigidity and that doesn't easily soften;
He has a printing design and needs to produce coffee cups with printing.

Solution

Given the client's unfamiliarity with raw materials, the Mingyuan Machinery team provided a complete solution:
We recommended using 160gsm food-grade paper + 15gsm single PE coating.
We provided standard 2.5oz mold drawings and sample dimensions for the client to confirm printing positioning.
Regarding equipment, we recommend the MYC-OCM100 paper cup machine—a model specifically designed for small-sized paper cups.

It supports the production of paper cups ranging from 1.5oz to 9oz.
