12 oz Double Wall Paper Cup Production Line for Kenya

A plain white cup still needs two well-matched layers. For this customer in Kenya, the 12 oz double wall paper cup production line combines a high-specification MYC-OCM12 for the inner cup with a MYC-D Cup Sleeve Machine for the outer layer.

The product brief

A white cup, with the work hidden between its layers

The customer chose a plain white 12 oz format for a double wall cup project. In a takeaway-drink application, the outside is the surface the user sees and holds; underneath it, the inner cup provides the container itself.

Our recommendation was to treat these as two connected forming tasks, rather than select a cup machine and leave the sleeve operation until later. The inner cup, the sleeve blank and the handoff between machines all need to be considered together.

Machine pairing

Two machines with distinct jobs

The configuration keeps inner-cup forming and outer-sleeve forming separate, then connects them through the transfer station.

MYC-OCM12: form the inner cup

The customer selected the high-specification MYC-OCM12. It turns the prepared fans into single wall cups, which become the inner containers of the finished double wall product.

MYC-D: add the second wall

The MYC-D Cup Sleeve Machine adds the outer sleeve to the incoming inner cup. It is a separate forming stage, not a second machine making another complete inner cup.

Why this pairing: the customer’s target is an assembled 12 oz cup. We recommend choosing the sleeve tooling around the formed inner cup and checking the transfer route at the same time as the two machine positions.

Paper specification

Keep 300 GSM attached to the right layer

The project uses 300 GSM paper fans at the MYC-OCM12 inner-cup stage. That is a material specification for this customer’s cup, not a blanket specification for both walls.

For a comparable order, our advice is to review the actual inner-cup fan and coating, then specify the outer sleeve separately. The sleeve outline must follow the cup it will cover; paper weight alone does not establish that fit.

The outer-sleeve weight and coating specification are not given in this demonstration.

Connected production

The 12 oz double wall paper cup production line, step by step

Once the inner cup is formed, the transfer station carries it to the sleeve stage. The MYC-D adds the outer wall, and the assembled cup moves to the collecting table.

Our layout advice: leave access around the paper feed, transfer station and collection end. When planning output, review the connected sequence with the selected cup and paper, rather than using the inner-cup machine’s speed alone.

Collection and sample review

Finish the check with an assembled cup

The demonstration follows the finished cups to the collecting table and shows the white double wall samples. This connects the equipment arrangement with the product the customer selected.

For a similar project, we recommend checking sleeve position, the exposed rim and the cup base against the approved drawing. These are sample-review points, not claims of a measured tolerance or a liquid test in this video.

Defined configuration

One product brief, carried through the line

The resulting setup is MYC-OCM12 + transfer station + MYC-D + collecting table, configured around a 12 oz double wall cup and 300 GSM inner-cup fans.

The project shows the machines, their connection and the resulting samples. It does not establish a tested whole-line output rate, measured insulation performance or customer-factory production results.
