Customer Background

A customer from Rwanda runs a newly established beverage packaging plant and plans to launch a line of hot drink paper cups. They wanted to produce a 16oz corrugated cup with better insulation.

Customer Requirements

During our initial communication, the customer outlined the following specific requirements:
They needed to produce 16oz double-walled corrugated cups.
They wanted to be able to directly produce the final corrugated cups without manual intervention.
The paper weight needed to be between 280–350gsm, and the outer corrugated paper needed to have good stiffness.
In addition, the customer had never produced corrugated cups before, so they were particularly concerned about the final product quality when selecting equipment.

Solution

After fully understanding the customer's needs, we recommended the following combination:

MYC-OCM12 Paper Cup Machine: Used to produce 16oz single-walled paper cups, which serve as the inner layer of the corrugated cups. This machine can produce paper cups ranging from 1.5 to 16oz. 

The MYC-D Double-Layer Corrugated Cup Machine is designed to produce a matching corrugated sleeve for the inner cup. Ultrasonic bonding is used to bond the inner cup and sleeve together.
