Customer Background

This customer from South Africa is a medium-sized beverage packaging company that plans to launch an 8oz corrugated cup soon.

During our initial conversation, the customer only expressed a desire to purchase a machine capable of producing corrugated cups, but lacked understanding of the complete production process.

Customer Needs

The customer's initial goal was to produce 8oz corrugated cups that were scald-resistant and had a high-quality appearance for supply to local coffee shops and restaurant chains.
During our initial conversation, the customer outlined the following specific requirements:
They wanted to produce 8oz corrugated cups
They wanted the outer corrugated sleeve to be made of black kraft paper.
After further discussion, we explained that corrugated cup production requires first producing a single wall paper cup (the inner cup) and then laminating the corrugated sleeve to the outer layer using a separate machine.

After understanding this, the customer requested a complete solution that could produce both the inner cup and the sleeve.

After fully understanding the customer's needs and production plan, Mingyuan Machinery developed an inline production solution:
The MYC-OCM12 high-end paper cup machine produces 8oz single-wall inner cups.

The MYC-DW100 double-wall corrugated cup machine combines the corrugated sleeves with the inner cups, achieving a maximum production speed of 100 pieces/minute.

We customized an inline conveyor system for the customer, transferring cups from the paper cup machine to the secondary machine and then to the inlet of the corrugated machine. This eliminates manual handling and significantly improves production efficiency.
